يحب الإنسان أن يظن أنه سيّد نفسه. لكن ما دام عاجزًا عن ضبط مزاجه وانفعالاته، أو عن إدراك الطرق الخفية الكثيرة التي تتسلل بها العوامل اللاواعية إلى ترتيباته وقراراته، فهو بالتأكيد ليس سيّد نفسه.
