هذه طريقة واحدة يستطيع الأمريكيون الأثرياء أن يُسهموا بها إسهاماً حقيقياً. فلو ضخّوا مئات الملايين من الدولارات في بنك البنية التحتية، لكان ذلك استثماراً جيداً لهم ولأبنائهم وأحفادهم، ولأسهموا مباشرةً في إنعاش قطاع واسع من أجور الطبقة الوسطى في أمريكا، وجعلوا بلدنا أكثر إنتاجية، فنخلق مزيداً من الفرص. لكنني أعتقد أننا قد نحظى بدعم شعبي واسع من غرف التجارة المحلية وغيرها، لو فهموا تماماً كيف سيعمل هذا البنك.
