الصداقة: لا تُفسِّر أبدًا، فأصدقاؤك لا يحتاجون إلى تفسير، وأعداؤك لن يصدّقوه على أي حال. الصديق الحقيقي لا يعترض طريقك أبدًا، إلا إذا كنت أنت في طريق الهبوط. الصديق هو من تستطيع أن لا تفعل معه شيئًا وتستمتع بذلك. ومهما حاولنا أن نتحصّن ضد ذلك، فإننا نميل إلى تشكيل أنفسنا على صورة ما يراه الآخرون فينا. ليس مثال الآخرين ما نقلّده بقدر ما هو انعكاس أنفسنا في أعينهم، وصدى ذواتنا في كلماتهم.
