أعتقد أن الأطباء يهتمون اهتمامًا عميقًا بمرضاهم، لكنهم حين يتكتّلون في الجمعية الطبية الأمريكية، تصبح مسؤوليتهم تجاه مصالح الأطباء أنفسهم، وكثيرًا ما تكون جماعات الضغط هذه هي الوحيدة المسموع صوتها في عواصم الولايات وفي عاصمة بلادنا.
