إليكم، أيّها الذين لبّوا نداء وطنهم وخدموا في قواته المسلّحة حتى تحقّق الهزيمةُ الكاملة للعدو، أتقدّم بالشكر الصادق من أمّةٍ ممتنّة. فقد اضطلعتم، بوصفكم من خيرة أبناء الأمّة، بأشقّ المهامّ التي يمكن أن يُطلب من المرء القيام بها. ولأنكم أظهرتم الصبرَ والبراعةَ وحسنَ التقدير الهادئ اللازمَ لإنجاز تلك المهمّة، فإنّنا نتطلّع إليكم اليوم لتكونوا قدوةً وقائدين في سبيل إعلاء شأن وطننا في زمن السلم.
