حين تستقرّ عينُ العقل على الأشياء المُضاءة بالحقّ والحقيقة، تدركها وتفهمها وتعمل بذكاء؛ أمّا حين تتّجه إلى عالم الظلّ المتقلّب، عالم التغيّر والفساد، فلا تستطيع إلا أن تكوّن آراء، فتتشوّش رؤيتها وتتبدّل معتقداتها، فيبدو كأنها تفتقر إلى الفهم.
