الصين بلدٌ له سجلّ حكمٍ ذاتيّ متصل يمتد أربعة آلاف عام، وهي المجتمع الوحيد الذي حقق ذلك. ينبغي أن ننطلق من افتراض أنهم تعلّموا شيئاً عن متطلبات البقاء، وليس من المسلّم به دائماً أننا نعرفه أفضل منهم.
