لكنّي أستطيع أن أخبركم بما أؤمن به: حين يُقتل عشرات الآلاف من الأرواح البريئة في دارفور، وحين يفتقر 11 مليون طفل إلى التأمين الصحي، وحين يُخضع دينُنا الهائل أمنَنا الاقتصادي لنزوات المصرفيين الآسيويين، لا يستطيع أحدٌ أن يقول لي إنّ الإيمان يوجب على هذا المجلس أن يقضي وقته في الجدال حول حفنة من القضاة. ولا يستطيع أحدٌ، ممّن أولوياته هذه، أن يستخدم إيماني لترهيبي.
