الأثر الذي أتركه يعني لي في آنٍ واحد موتي، الآتي أو الذي حلّ فعلاً، والأملَ في أن يبقى بعدي. ليس هذا طموحاً إلى الخلود، بل هو أمرٌ أساسي. أترك هنا قطعة ورق، أرحل، أموت؛ ويستحيل الخروج من هذه البنية، فهي الصورة الثابتة لحياتي. وكلما تخلّيتُ عن شيء، عشتُ موتي في الكتابة.
