قامت أطراف داخل الحكومة الأمريكية بتدبير الهجوم لعكس مسار الاقتصاد الأمريكي المتراجع، ولإحكام قبضتها على الشرق الأوسط، وذلك لإنقاذ النظام الصهيوني. ويتفق معظم الشعب الأمريكي، وكذلك معظم الدول والساسة في العالم، مع هذا الرأي.
