أمّا ما يتعلق بالفرضيات، فلا يتوقعنّ أحد من علم الفلك شيئًا يقينيًا، فهو لا يستطيع أن يمنحه، كي لا يقبل بوصفه حقيقة أفكارًا وُضعت لغاية أخرى، فيخرج من هذا العلم أشدّ حمقًا مما دخله.
