في رأيي، إنّ أخصب لعبٍ طبيعيٍّ للعقل هو الحديث. وأجده أحلى من أيّ نشاطٍ آخر في الحياة، ولو أُرغمتُ على الاختيار، لآثرتُ أن أفقد بصري على أن أفقد سمعي ونطقي. أمّا دراسة الكتب فتمرينٌ خامدٌ واهنٌ لا يُدفئ صاحبه.
