فلنُدرك أن الفقر المدقع في أي مكان تهديدٌ للأمن الإنساني في كل مكان. ولنتذكّر أن الفقر إنكارٌ لحقوق الإنسان. للمرة الأولى في التاريخ، في هذا العصر من الثراء غير المسبوق والتفوق التقني، نملك القدرة على إنقاذ البشرية من هذه الآفة المُخزية. فلنستجمع الإرادة لفعل ذلك.
