قد يبدو أحياناً أنّ ثقافة السلام لا تملك فرصةً أمام ثقافة الحرب، وثقافة العنف، وثقافتَي الإفلات من العقاب والتعصّب. إنّ السلام تحدٍّ معقّد حقاً، يتوقف على العمل في ميادين كثيرة، وعلى قدرٍ من الحظّ أحياناً. وقد يكون عملية بطيئة مؤلمة، هشّة وناقصة حين تتحقق. لكنّ السلام في أيدينا. نستطيع أن نفعلها.
