الشخصيةُ في القيادة هي كلُّ شيء من وجوه كثيرة. تتكوّن من أمور عديدة، لكنني أقول إن الشخصية هي في الحقيقة النزاهة. فحين تفوّض أحداً من مرؤوسيك بشيء ما، تبقى مسؤوليته مسؤوليتك أنت بالكامل، وعليه أن يدرك ذلك. فالقائد يتحمل المسؤولية الكاملة عمّا يفعله مرؤوسه. وقد قلتُ ذات مرة، على سبيل الدعابة، إن القيادة لا تعني شيئاً سوى تحمّل المسؤولية عن كل ما يسير على نحو خاطئ، ونسبة الفضل إلى مرؤوسيك في كل ما يسير على نحو حسن.
