لا يزدهر التطرف إلا في بيئة تُهمَل فيها المسؤولية الاجتماعية للحكومة تجاه رفاه الناس. فالاستبداد السياسي واليأس الاجتماعي يولّدان الكرب الذي يغذّي التطرف الديني.
