على أيّ حال، ندرك تمامًا أنّ المملكة المتحدة، بوصفها حليفة للولايات المتحدة وذات علاقة خاصة بها، لا بدّ أن تراعي في علاقاتها مع روسيا رأي شريكها الأمريكي. نحن نأخذ هذا الواقع كأمر مسلّم به، لكنني أؤكد مرة أخرى أننا سنكون مستعدين لفعل ما تكون بريطانيا مستعدة له لاستئناف تعاوننا المتبادل. وهذا لا يتوقف علينا.
