ما زلتُ ملتزمًا بالفكرة الاشتراكية، لأنها، إذا فُهمت على وجهها الصحيح، تتضمن مبادئ الحرية والعدالة الاجتماعية. وهي تتضمن أيضًا الاعتراف بقيمة الديمقراطية. وحين نتحدث عن العدالة الاجتماعية، فإن ذلك يعني أن تُستخدم الحرية لا لمصلحة الربح وحده، بل أيضًا لمصلحة رفعة الناس الذين يصنعون كل القيم.
