حتى مالك البيت الذي أسكن فيه، وهو لبناني معتدل، يقول: "لكنّ بن لادن يقول ما نفكر فيه." هؤلاء الناس يعتقدون أن بن لادن إنما يُستهدف لا بسبب مركز التجارة العالمي وواشنطن، فهم غير مقتنعين بالأدلة المقدَّمة. يرون أنه مستهدَف لأنه يقول الحقيقة.
