أدهشني كثيراً أن كولن باول قال إنه سيقدّم الأدلة، ثم لم يقدّمها أبداً. ثم قدّم توني بلير وثيقة من سبعين فقرة، لم يتعلّق منها بمركز التجارة العالمي سوى الفقرات التسع الأخيرة، ولم تكن مقنعة. إذن، لدينا مشكلة صغيرة هنا: إن كانوا مذنبين، فأين الدليل؟ وإن كنا لا نسمع الدليل، فلماذا نذهب إلى الحرب؟
