لا يُولد المرءُ امرأةً، بل يصير امرأة. لا قدرٌ بيولوجيٌّ ولا نفسيٌّ ولا اقتصاديٌّ يحدّد الصورة التي تبدو عليها الأنثى في المجتمع؛ فالحضارة بأسرها هي التي تُنتج هذا الكائن، الواقع بين الذكر والخصيّ، والذي يُوصف بأنه أنثوي.
