تكتسب الأمةُ سلطتها ونفوذها بفضل قيمها الأخلاقية لا بقوتها العسكرية، وبفضل تواضعها لا غطرستها وتعاليها، وبفضل رغبة شعبها في خدمة الآخرين لا في السيطرة عليهم. والأمةُ التي تفتقر إلى الأخلاق سرعان ما تفقد تأثيرها في العالم.
