بعد الموت تمتلك النفس وعياً ذاتياً، وإلا لكانت عرضةً للموت الروحي، وهذا قد دُحض من قبل. ومع هذا الوعي الذاتي يبقى بالضرورة الشخصية ووعي الهوية الشخصية.
