علّمتنا الفيزياء الحديثة أن طبيعة أي نظام لا يمكن اكتشافها بتقسيمه إلى أجزائه المكوّنة ودراسة كل جزء على حدة... يجب أن نُبقي انتباهنا مثبتًا على الكل وعلى الترابط بين أجزائه. والأمر ذاته ينطبق على حياتنا الفكرية؛ فمن المستحيل أن نفصل فصلًا حادًا بين العلم والدين والفن. فالكلّ لا يساوي أبدًا مجموع أجزائه.
