يكمن حلّ الإشكال في أنّ الصورتين الذهنيّتين اللتين تدفعنا التجربة إلى تكوينهما، صورة الجسيمات وصورة الموجات، ناقصتان كلتاهما، ولا تصحّان إلا بوصفهما تشبيهين دقيقين في الحالات الحدّية وحدها.
