يجب أن نتحرّك الآن، وأن نستيقظ على واجبنا الأخلاقي. فالفقراء والضعفاء أفرادٌ في أسرة الله، وهم أشدّ الناس تضرّرًا من الجفاف وارتفاع درجات الحرارة وغرق المدن الساحلية، ومن تقلّب الطقس وشدّته الناجمين عن تغيّر المناخ. ونحن الذين كان ينبغي أن نكون أمناءً مسؤولين على كوكبنا الهشّ الضعيف، بدّدنا مواردنا بطيشٍ، والتهمنا بإسرافنا الاستهلاكيّ موارد طبيعية لا تُعوَّض.
