الحقيقة أنّنا إن جلسنا مكتوفي الأيدي وسمحنا لعددٍ قليل من المسؤولين، خلف أبواب مغلقة، بشنّ هجمات هجومية دون أي رقابة على دول أجنبية، أو على أناس لا نرتاح إليهم، أو على تكتلات سياسية، أو متطرفين ومتشددين قد لا نوافق أفكارهم، وقد تكون بغيضة بل عنيفة، فإن سمحنا بذلك دون موافقة عامة، فلن يكون لنا مقعد على طاولة الحكم نقرّر منه إن كان مناسباً أن يجرّنا هؤلاء المسؤولون إلى نشاط حربيّ لا نريده، ولم نكن على علم به وقتها.
