لو امتلك كلُّ إنسانٍ ما يريد، ولم يكن لأحدٍ قدرةٌ على الاعتراض على هذا الامتلاك، أو لو لم يرغب أحدٌ فيما يُلحق الضرر بأخيه الإنسان، لما كان للعدل دورٌ يؤديه في الكون.
