مهما يحدث، فكلُّ فرد ابنُ زمانه؛ والفلسفة كذلك هي زمانها مُدرَكًا في أفكار. وإنه لعبثٌ مثلُ أن يُتخيَّل أن فلسفةً تستطيع تجاوز عالمها المعاصر، كعبثِ أن يُتخيَّل أن فردًا يستطيع القفزَ فوق عصره، كمن يقفز فوق رودس.
