في هذه اللحظة بالذات... تقع أبشع الفظائع في كل ركن من أركان العالم. يُسحق الناس ويُجرحون ويُبقر بطنهم ويُمزّقون؛ تتعفن جثثهم وتتحلل عيونهم مع سائر أجسادهم. تنطلق في الهواء صرخات الألم والخوف، تتموج بسرعة ألف ومئة قدم في الثانية. وبعد ثلاث ثوانٍ من السفر لا تعود تُسمع البتة. حقائق مؤلمة، فهل نستمتع بالحياة أقلّ بسببها؟ بالتأكيد لا.
