لا يمكننا أن نقرأ تاريخ نهضتنا وتطورنا أمةً، دون أن نحسب حساب المكانة التي شغلها الكتاب المقدّس في تشكيل تقدّم الجمهورية. وحيثما كنّا أصدق وأثبت في الالتزام بتعاليمه، بلغنا أعظم قدر من الرضا والازدهار.
