قد يظهر في الخروج عن قواعد الفن حكمةٌ أعظم من التقيّد بها، وفي أعمال العبقري الفذّ الذي يجهل قواعد الفن كلَّها جمالٌ أكثر مما في أعمال الموهوب الصغير الذي لا يعرفها فحسب، بل يلتزم بها التزامًا دقيقًا.
