من الأقوال المأثورة في بلدنا: «أوبونتو»، أي جوهر الإنسانية. و«أوبونتو» تعني تحديدًا أنّ الإنسان لا يمكن أن يوجد منعزلًا. إنها تعبّر عن ترابطنا. لا يمكنك أن تكون إنسانًا بمفردك، وحين تتحلّى بهذه الصفة، تُعرف بكرمك. نحن نفكّر في أنفسنا كثيرًا على أننا أفراد منفصلون بعضنا عن بعض، مع أنك مترابط مع غيرك، وما تفعله يمسّ العالم كلّه. فإذا أحسنتَ، انتشر أثر ذلك، لأنه لجميع البشرية.
