تكاد جميع الحروب، ربما كلّها، أن تكون حروب تجارة مرتبطة بمصلحة مادية. وهي تتخفّى دائماً في ثوب الحروب المقدّسة، تُشنّ باسم الله أو الحضارة أو التقدّم، لكنها كلّها، أو جلّها، كانت حروب تجارة.
