دَعِ الآخرين يسخرون منك ويعارضونك حين تكون مسكونًا بأي هوى؛ ولا تغضب البتة ممن يسخرون منك أو يعارضونك، فهم يُسدون إليك معروفًا. اصلب حبّ ذاتك، واعترف بالخطأ والضلال في قلبك. أما من يسخرون من أقوال الإيمان وأعماله، ومن التقوى والبر، ومن الخير الذي تفعله... فأشفِقْ عليهم غاية الإشفاق. نجّاك الله من أن تغتاظ منهم.
