ما هذا التعبير: «معاقبة إسرائيل»؟ هل نحن دولة تابعة لكم؟ هل نحن جمهورية موز؟ هل نحن فتيان في الرابعة عشرة، إن لم يتصرفوا تصرفًا لائقًا، صُفعت أكفّهم؟ دعني أخبرك بمن تتألف هذه الحكومة. إنها تتألف من أناس قضوا حياتهم في المقاومة والقتال والمعاناة. لن تخيفنا بـ«العقوبات». ومن يهددنا سيجدنا صمًّا عن تهديده. نحن مستعدون للإصغاء إلى الحجج العقلانية وحدها. ليس لك الحق في «معاقبة» إسرائيل، وأنا أحتجّ على استعمال هذا المصطلح ذاته.
