ولعلّه من الحكمة أن نُذكي التنافس بين النشاط المفاهيمي والنشاط التخيّلي. وعلى كل حال، لن يلقى المرء سوى خيبات إن أراد لهما أن يتعاونا. فالصورة لا تستطيع أن تمدّ المفهوم بمادته. فإذا منحنا الصورة ثباتًا، فإن المفهوم سيخنق حياتها.
