أرى دائماً أن الصور الفوتوغرافية بغيضة، ولا أحب أن تكون حولي، ولا سيما صور من أعرفهم وأحبّهم. فهذه البورتريهات الفوتوغرافية تذبل قبل أن نذبل نحن بكثير، أما البورتريه المرسوم فهو شيء يُحَسّ، ويُنجَز بالحب.
