تكمن عظمة الإنسان الحقيقية في وعيه بغاية شريفة يحياها، قائمة على تقدير عادل لنفسه ولكل ما سواه، وعلى مراجعة متكررة للنفس، وثبات على القاعدة التي يعلم أنها حق، دون أن يشغل باله بما يقوله الآخرون أو يفعلونه، أو بما إذا كانوا يفعلون ما يراه ويقوله ويصنعه أو لا يفعلونه.
