لو أُتيح لأيّ إنسان، مهما كان، أن يختار من بين أمم العالم جميعها المعتقدات التي يراها الأفضل، لاختار حتماً—بعد تأمّل دقيق في مزايا كلٍّ منها—معتقدات بلده. فكلّ إنسان دون استثناء يرى أنّ عاداته الموروثة، والدين الذي نشأ عليه، هما الأفضل.
