وجدتُ أنني أواجه موقفًا بالغ التعقيد، وأنني لا أستطيع أن آمل في تغييره ما لم أتسلّح أولًا بالقدرة النفسية والفكرية اللازمة. وقد علّمني تأمّلي في الحياة وفي طبيعة الإنسان، في ذلك المكان المنعزل، أن من لا يستطيع أن يغيّر نسيج فكره ذاته لن يقدر أبدًا على تغيير الواقع، ولن يحقق بالتالي أيّ تقدّم.
