أنا على يقين بأنّ الحب أقوى قوةٍ دائمة في العالم. فليس هو تعبيرًا عن مثالية غير عملية، بل عن واقعية عملية. وهو، بعيدًا عن كونه وصيةً تقيّة لحالم طوباوي، ضرورةٌ مطلقة لبقاء حضارتنا. إنّ ردّ الكراهية بالكراهية لا يفعل سوى تعميق وجود الشر في الكون. ولا بدّ لأحدٍ أن يملك من الحكمة والإيمان ما يكفي ليقطع سلسلة الكراهية والشر، ولا يكون ذلك إلا بالحب.
