والآن لا بد أن آخذكم إلى جانب شديد الإثارة من موضوعنا: العلاقة بين احتراق الشمعة وذلك الاحتراق الحيّ الذي يجري داخل أجسادنا. ففي كل واحد منا عملية احتراق حيّة تشبه إلى حد بعيد احتراق الشمعة، وسأحاول أن أوضح ذلك لكم. فالأمر ليس صحيحًا على سبيل المجاز الشعري فحسب، أي في صلة حياة الإنسان بالشمعة؛ وإن تابعتموني فأظن أنني أستطيع أن أجعل ذلك جليًا.
