كادت ملاحظاتك حول الترميز الكيميائي، وتنوّع المنظومات التي ظهرت، وما إلى ذلك، أن تدفعني إلى الأسف علناً لوجود هذه العوائق التي تعيق تقدّم العلم. ولا أستطيع إلا أن أرى أنه من المؤسف للغاية أن يعمد الرجال الأكثر أهليةً للتجريب والفلسفة إلى دفع الأغراض العامة للعلم والمعرفة، أن يؤخّروا تقدّمها عبر نشر آرائهم النظرية في صورة مصطلحات أو رموز أو مقاييس.
