قد تحكم القوانين العادلة وغير العادلة أفعال البشر، وقد تقيّد الطغيانات أقوالهم أو تنظّمها. وقد تملأ آلة الدعاية عقولهم بالزيف، وتحرمهم الحقيقة أجيالًا طويلة. لكنّ روح الإنسان، حين تُحبس في غيبوبة أو تتجمّد في ليل طويل، يمكن أن تُوقظها شرارة تأتي من حيث لا يعلم إلّا الله، فإذا بالبناء كلّه من الأكاذيب والقهر يُحاكم في لحظة على بقائه.
