من أهم المبادئ الأساسية لصنع السلام وحفظه داخل الأمم وفيما بينها أنّه في المواجهات السياسية والعسكرية والأخلاقية والروحية، ينبغي بذل محاولة صادقة لتسوية الخلافات قبل اللجوء إلى القتال.
