عِش حياةً صالحة. فإن كانت هناك آلهة وكانت عادلة، فلن تعنيها كثرةُ تعبّدك، بل ستستقبلك بحسب الفضائل التي عشتَ بها. وإن كانت هناك آلهة غير عادلة، فلا ينبغي أن ترغب في عبادتها. وإن لم تكن هناك آلهة، فستفنى، لكنّك تكون قد عشتَ حياةً نبيلة تبقى حيّة في ذكرى من تحبّ.
