إن محلّل الشأن السياسي الذي يعمل أربعًا وعشرين ساعة، ومحرّض الذعر السياسي الدائم، لم يتسبّب في مشكلاتنا، لكنّ وجوده يجعل حلّها أصعب بكثير. وللصحافة أن تُسلّط عدستها المكبّرة على مشكلاتنا فتضعها في بؤرة الضوء وتكشف قضايا لم تُرَ من قبل، أو أن تستخدم تلك العدسة لإشعال النار في النمل، ثم تقدّم بعدها أسبوعًا من البرامج عن وباء مفاجئ وخطير من النمل المشتعل. فإذا ضخّمنا كل ما نسمعه، لم نعد نسمع شيئًا.
