على الأمريكيين من أصول أخرى أن يتذكروا أن من يتخلّى بحسن نية ودون تحفّظ عن وطن آخر من أجل هذا الوطن، يجب أن ينال في المقابل الحقوق ذاتها تماماً، لا القانونية وحدها، بل الاجتماعية والروحية أيضاً، التي يتمتع بها سائر الأمريكيين بفخر. نحن أبناء الولايات المتحدة ننتمي إلى جنسية جديدة ومستقلة. فكلنا أمريكيون لا غير، ولكلٍّ منّا، بصرف النظر عن مكان ميلاده أو دينه أو أصله القومي، الحقوق نفسها تماماً التي يتمتع بها سائر الأمريكيين.
