في القوات المسلحة تكون فرص النجاح مرتفعة إلى حد كبير، وذلك بفضل وضوح البنية العسكرية، فكل شيء مرسوم بدقة. أما في السياسة ففيها من المفاجآت والمنعطفات الكثير، وهي أكثر بكثير من حيث عدم القدرة على التنبؤ.
